The Good, The Bad & The Kitsch.

* In which “leg godt” means to “play well” in Danish.

I know it’s not completely relevant, but it has to be said: I have mad respect for the individuals who design LEGO. My brother and I built the beginnings of a five piece train set recently, and I was continually impressed by the intricate and clever design of each car, how each piece had its specific place and purpose, and how so many little pieces made up such a functional whole. Indeed, I marveled, and I don’t often marvel. Call me what you will, but you cannot deny that LEGO is genius. Absolute, unequivocal genius. As a side note, if I had the time and money, I would buy a huge warehouse and create a giant city using every single LEGO set and product on the market. Strangely I think that would be a very productive use of my time. But that’s just me.
